Re-mascoting the SEC: MS State

And last but not least (well sometimes) come the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Bulldog fans have had a lot to be hopeful for the last couple of years.  Most fans are just glad to be rid of The Walrus.  Everyone else in the SEC would be glad if they would get rid of the cowbell and Dan Mullen.  As a fan of another SEC school I will say going to a game in Starkvegas and getting a cowbell rung in your face for the first quarter of a game is not very fun.  Notice I said First Quarter.  That’s about the time most fans start leaving due to the scoreboard and I grab the bell from that redneck and ring his bell with his bell.  I will note that this is getting better and you should ring responsibly. At least this MS school wears their school colors to the game.  It is in honor of this much held onto tradition that we re-mascot the MS State Bulldogs as:

The Mississippi State Ding-A-Lings

The cowbells were the inspiration, but there were other factors going into this one.  Such as, Why the hell is Stansbury still the Coach?  Two Words, Wasted Talent.  I will now get off this subject.  State fans are also notoriously well known for expecting way more than what there teams are capable of, see 2001 Rose Bowl hopes, ’10-’11 Basketball.   State could also be considered Ding-A-Lings for not paying the 180k for Cam.  Hindsight is 20-20 I guess.
